NUI Galway Students’ Union Charity Skydive 2014

When?                 April 2014 on weather permitting dates to be decided

Where?               Galway Airport

Why?                    To raise money for Galway Rape Crisis Centre and Childline/ISPCC

How?                    A freefall tandem skydive from 10,000 feet at 200 km/hour

How much?        Non-refundable Registration fee              €15 (usually €30)

  Skydive Cost                                                      €199 (usually €240)

   Money for charities                                        €196 (plus any extra raised)

TOTAL TO TAKE PART                                     €410

How do I sign up? You can register online only at the following link (choose Galway NUI Galway as your College and choose Galway NUIG as your charity) Skydive Online Registration 

How do I fundraise? Once you have signed up Skydive Ireland will post you out your sponsorship card and then it is up to you to get fundraising. You will also be able to raise money online at the following link: Online Fundraising where you can set up your own page.

SU White Collar Fight Night Thurs 14th Nov


White Collar Fight Night 14th November

The NUI Galway Students’ Union White Collar Fight Night is back on Thursday 14th November in the Bailey Allen Hall. The event is in aid of the SU Charities: Galway Rape Crisis Centre and ISPCC/Childline. Doors 7pm, first fight 7.45pm. Tickets on sale in the SU office Monday 4th November: €12 for adults, €7.50 for students, under 18’s & OAPs. Children under 12 go free. 

Let’s get ready to rumble!
Our fighters have trained hard, and are looking good in sparring. And on November 14th, we are going to put on one hell of a show, in aid of Childline & Galway Rape Crisis Centre. 
We’ve assembled two teams of fighters from a real cross-spectrum of Galway society, with some very interesting and entertaining match-ups…
