Got Neknominated?
Think about these facts first:
-You may harm yourself.
-The person you nominate may be seriously injured
-It comes from online-orientated peer pressure which can lead to cybershaming or cyberbullying. Stand up to the online trend and say no.

-Anyone found to be recording or engaging in “Nek Nominations” in “The College Bar” or in any other Students’ Union outlet will be asked to leave.

While some of us may see this as a bit of fun, this ‘game’ is causing great harm to some of those who get involved. The consequences of drinking large volumes of alcohol in a short time period can have very real impacts on those taking part. We are asking you to break the chain & not participate in this trend. Look after your own health & protect your friends from the serious risks associated with it. We are also reminding students of the University Code of Conduct and the serious implications for students found in breach of this code. NUI Galway Student Code of Conduct.

The household will have eight weeks to work together to modify their behaviour before being retested.  It’s all about realisations and connections between everyday life- habits and behaviours- and how they directly relate to potential health problems-  big and small- but all vital to the quality of our life.

DOCTOR IN THE HOUSE

In this new health series for TV3 a team of leading medical experts will closely monitor a household’s lifestyle and carry out comprehensive health screening tests, providing them with an accurate assessment of their disease risk factors. The Doctor in the House team will connect the dots between people’s daily behaviours and the impact on their health. We all know that fatty foods or too much caffeine is bad for us, but why? We know that we shouldn’t spend too much time in front of the computer or the TV, but why- what effect is it having on us?

A personalised plan will be devised in a bid to encourage each member of the house to make real changes in their lifestyle to benefit their future health.

The household will have eight weeks to work together to modify their behaviour before being retested.  It’s all about realisations and connections between everyday life- habits and behaviours- and how they directly relate to potential health problems-  big and small- but all vital to the quality of our life.

If you are 18 and over apply online or download an application form atwww.tv3.ie/doctorinthehouse
