The Geec Launch 12pm-2pm Tues 21st April at Engineering Building
On 21 April, 2015, we will launch the Galway energy-efficient car – the Geec – nationally before we ship it to Rotterdam for Shell Eco-marathon Europe in May. Dr James Browne, President of NUI Galway, will join us as we unveil the new and improved Geec 1.1. We will present the engineering and driving team, reveal results of energy-efficiency testing, and share our enthusiasm for this project with anybody who would like to learn about it.
Finally, we will be taking the opportunity to say a big thank you to all of the technical and academic staff who helped with this, and all of our partners and supporters. We are delighted to let you know that Eoin McKeon, Connacht Rugby number 8, and recent NUIG Mechanical Engineering Graduate, will be unveiling the Geec at our launch. Come along to wish all the ‘all the best’ to the Geec before it takes off to the Shell Eco-marathon in Rotterdam. All are welcome. NUI Galway Eco-Marathon Team
