Exam Timetables

Semester 2 (2015/2016)  exams are scheduled for Monday, 25th April to Wednesday, 11th May 2016 (inclusive). Students are expected to be available for exams for the entire duration of the exam session. More Information.

The Big Bang Party Thursday 7th April

8.30pm Thursday 7th April in the College Bar FREE ENTRY. The last big session before the end of the semester is going to a massive beach party! There’ll be laid back tunes, limbo, finger food, exotic refreshments, a raffle, Giant Jenga, spot prizes and a FREE after party in Electric.

All funds raised on the night will go to Galway Rape Crisis Centre & the Irish Cancer Society

SU 8 Week Yoga Course Now Enrolling – Starts 14th April

You can book your space by calling in to the SU Office upstairs in Áras na Mac Léinn 10am-5pm Monday-Friday or by phoning 091 524810 to register and pay by credit card. The course fee is €40. The course dates are Thursday 14th April to Thursday 2nd June. Beginners/Improvers: 6pm-7.30pm. Intermediate: 7.30pm-9pm

NUIG’s Second Climate Congress: Climate Change & Ireland Tues 5th April 11.30am-5pm

We will have three interesting speakers, and some short Ignite presentations of postgraduate students from all over Ireland presenting their work.

Speakers on the event are: Professor Peadar Kirby, Professor Emeritus of International Politics and Public Policy, University of Limerick; Emer Cosgrove, Climate Leader with Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project; and James Nix, Director of Brussels-based non-profit Green Budget Europe.

The event is free to attend for everyone interested and lunch will be served, but registration in advance is requested at The event will run from 11:30-17:00 on Tuesday 5th April in The View upstairs in Áras na Mac Léinn.

Free food and a chat!

Head to the Career Development Centre Seminar Room Thursday April 14th at 1pm. No biggie, just a relaxing hour of chatting, and sharing opinions on NUI Galway Student Services advertising! All courses welcome, you don’t even have to know about marketing or advertising J everyone who shows up gets a free €10 voucher that can be used in any of the Student’s Union operated restaurants on campus like Smokey’s.

Email by Wednesday the 6th of April to let her know you will be there, so you will get the voucher. Plenty sweets and goodies on the day too!!

Under Pressure – Blood Pressure Screening 10am-2pm Weds 6th April

A free blood pressure screening day will be taking place on Wednesday April 6th from 10am-2pm on the first floor of the Hardiman Building. We are a group of second year Biomedical Science students and are organising this event in association with Croí, to raise awareness about high blood pressure, the work of Croí in the community and the importance of knowing your blood pressure. 

Come along on the day to this FREE event to get your blood pressure measured. There will be raffle prizes on the day to thank you for your participation in our project.

Fulbright Awards Info Session

The Fulbright Awards allow you to study, research or teach in the US. There will be an information session on the awards at 2pm on Wednesday 6th April in THB G010 James Hardiman Library.
