This outreach pilot project will invite 5th and 6th class students into the School of Psychology at NUI Galway and will use innovative technology to teach children about neuroscience in novel and fun ways.

The children will participate in an interactive workshop where among other things they will play “brain games” using EEG technology. The purpose of the project is to foster an interest in science and increase awareness of the importance of a healthy brain for a healthy body.

We came up with our logo.
We set up Bright Sparks Facebook and Twitter pages.
We created a puzzle and work sheet booklet to give to the children.
We held our first workshop with Claddagh National School on Thursday, 5 February. This went very well; the children, the students, and the staff all had a wonderful time!
