Galway Bone Marrow Recruitment Clinic on Monday 15th December FREE Bus

Together with City Direct we have organised a FREE bus from NUI Galway this Monday 15th December for any NUI Galway students, staff members or alumni who wish to go to the IBTS Bone Marrow Recruitment Clinic at the Racing Lodge, Doughiska Road.

The bus will leave the Quad at 10am sharp and will leave the Racing Lodge at 12pm to return to NUIG. The Clinic runs from 10:30am to 2:30pm.

5 dedicated IBTS staff will take samples for processing to the Global Registry. They will not be taking regular blood donations. Consequently, the process should be fairly efficient and relatively quick.

Please register your intention to attend by sending an e-mail to BoneMarrow@ibts.ie

Even though you will not be donating blood, the IBTS requests that you read the following before you attend to ensure you are eligible.

A former student (Civil Engineering), rower and rowing coach of NUI Galway, Paul Giblin is undergoing chemotherapy treatment for the fourth time in a bid to fight off an aggressive form of cancer. He and his friends are urging people to sign up to the bone marrow registry in the rare chance they would be a match. He is a serving army officer at Renmore Barracks here in Galway.
