SU History NUI, Galway Students' Union was originally established in 1911 as the Students' Representative Council. It was short-lived, but the re-establishment of the body was proposed in 1913.

Constitution of the Students' Union The Constitution of NUI Galway Students' Union is a legally-binding document passed by referendum of the students of NUI Galway.

Students’ Union Policies NUI Galway Students’ Union adopts policies on various issues. Policy can be set by the Executive Committee, SU Council or a referendum.

Article 16 of the Students' Union Constitution makes provision for referenda on policy or constitutional matters.

Former SU Officers The NUI Galway Students' Union was originally established in 1911 as the Students' Representative Council under the direction of Bryan Cusack.

NUI Galway Students’ Union is a non-incorporated entity which exists “to represent its members and promote, defend and vindicate the rights of its members at all levels of society.”
