SU Charity Croagh Patrick Climb – Just 10 Spaces Left!
The NUI Galway Students’ Union Charity Croagh Patrick Climb takes place on Saturday 17th of February in conjunction with NUIG Mountaineering Club. Participants are asked to raise a minimum of €40 to take part and all proceeds will go to the SU Charities: Domestic Violence Response & AMACH!

The event will run from 12noon to 3pm, with short presentations taking place during the day also, covering such topics as funding opportunities, applications, and research. SUSI (Grants Authority) will also be in attendance. There will be over 60 stands on display, so this is your opportunity to meet lecturers and postgraduate students, see what postgraduate programmes are on offer, and to meet staff from Postgraduate Admissions, Career Development Centre, Graduate Studies, Research Office, and other student support services. “Prevention is better than cure”, a quantitative study exploring undergraduate university students’ knowledge, perceived importance and self-efficacy of cancer prevention behaviours.
The proposed study aims to explore knowledge of cancer prevention behaviours among undergraduate students and to identify perceived importance of cancer prevention. The research also aims to determine if undergraduate students are engaging in cancer prevention behaviours.

Seas Suas is a training programme which promotes the health and wellbeing of students. The training offers the opportunity to increase awareness about challenging situations and helps students to develop skills to successfully deal with such challenges. This semester the Seas Suas Training Programme focuses on a number of interesting topics including, Developing Positive Mental Health, Practical Tips for Internet Safety, Cyberbullying, Developing Digital Skills and How to Become a Digital Champion. The training takes place on 6.30pm-8.30pm Tues 6th & Tue 13th of Feb in MY243 Áras Moyola and includes a FREE dinner each evening.
