Run, jog, walk or crawl charity 5k at NUI Galway 10am Sunday 12th of November. All proceeds go to the SU Charities: Domestic Violence Response and AMACH!
Our mega pop-up Vintage Clothing Fair is back 11am-5pm this Wednesday 8th November in Áras na Mac Léinn. This huge handpicked vintage and rework sale will have the best branded 80s+90s wavy garms at teeny tiny prices!
Deck the halls and jingle your bells! The biggest charity event of semester 1 is upon us! Featuring Christmas Dinner, Santa, Christmas jumpers, tinsel, good cheer, cheesy Christmas tunes, DJs and lots of festive surprises from 10am at Sult NUI Galway. €5 wristbands for entry to Electric Garden & Theatre or 44ClubGalway at 10pm on sale from the SU Office and SU Engineering Desk SOON! We know it’s very early to mention the E word – but you have been asking! Exam timetables are due to be released online at 12noon on Friday 10th of November. Semester 1 exams are scheduled for Monday 4th to Friday 15th December (inclusive).
11am-4pm Wednesday 29th of November at Áras na Mac Léinn. There will be rabbits, gerbils, guinea pigs, hamsters, chicks, hens, turkeys, geese, ducks, sheep, goats, pigs, a llama, cake, tea, a raffle and tunes from Flirt FM.

Study Break Policy Starts Monday
Please note that the Library Study Break policy will be in operation from Monday 6th November to Friday 15th of December. If you leave your belongings unattended at a study desk for more than 1 hour other students have permission to move them and use the space. Grab an “I’m taking a study break” sheet at the library entrance to mark the time you go for a break.
Tickets for the NUIG v GMIT Rumble in the Radisson on Weds 22nd November are on sale now from the SU Office and the SU Engineering Desk. €15 students/€25 non-students.

The event takes place in the Bailey Allen Hall with short presentations taking place during the day also, covering such topics as funding opportunities, applications, and research. There will be over 60 stands on display, so this is your opportunity to meet lecturers and postgraduate students, see what postgraduate programmes are on offer, and to meet staff from Postgraduate Admissions, Career Development Centre, Graduate Studies, Research Office, and other student support services www.nuigalway.ie/postgraduate-open-day

Pink Training Application Deadline 6pm this Friday 3rd November
Pink Training is an LGBTQ+ conference which is the biggest of its kind in Europe. Over three days there are workshops on various LGBTQ+ topics. This year Pink Training is on in NUIG from Friday the 17th of November until Sunday 19th of November. You need to be available to attend the whole weekend from 4pm on Friday until approximately 3pm on Sunday. NUIG Free STI Clinic
The free STI Clinic will reopen in the Student Health Unit in Áras na Mac Léinn every Tuesday & Wednesday evening 5pm-7pm during term. The clinic is by appointment only on a first come, first served basis. Remember you can pick up FREE condoms from the SU Office or the SU Engineering Desk all year long.
